As I promised girls from the 'podstawy angielskiego' thread, here is the place for all of us to speak English only - with translations below. And maybe some kind of a glossary?

some kind of - jakiś rodzaj czegoś/jakiś

    glossary - słowniczek

I would like to write here , but i'm shy and i always think that i make so many mistakes, so i must think about it. However i'm happy because i can read evertything ;)

No one is perfect here, so there's no need to be shy. We won't beat anyone for making mistakes. I think these translation can be good for those who would like to learn new words and how sentences work.

Well, maybe some day an English teacher will join us and help us correct mistakes.

Dla Cię zrobię wyjątek z pisaniem po polsku :) Jeśli będziesz dla brata potrzebować pomocy to chociaż napisz nam: 'Could you help us with my brother's homework?' co znaczy 'czy możecie nam pomóc z zadaniem domowym brata?' i już wtedy będzie fajnie :) Właśnie dlatego namawiam innych do pisania z tłumaczeniem to może ktoś złapie choć kilka wyrażeń!

But Lena, i'm too lazy to write translations too ;p

I think i'll like to write here in english ;p I need it !

I need to speak in english. I lived in England about one year, but i forget so many words... I want to move to England, but my fiance and my mother don't want it. I think i prefer live in UK than Poland... My father and sister live there, so i'll have house there and work, but first i want to study here [ in Poland ] and maybe then Michał will go with me ;)

Hello Everybody :) Lena, You (1) are great in English. I think that you can correct us when you see any mistakes in our sentences. Than we can training (2) our English :) What do you think about it?

Hmm, yes, why not? :) I am not an English teacher or whatever (although I am plannig to become one! ) and I DO make mistakes, so I'm not infallible. Anyway, I'll try my best!

                1) There is no need to have a capital letter like in Polish 'Ty'. 'you' is enough :)

                2) When you use 'can' the next verb should be in present simple (I mean, without -ing).

'z małej litery 'you' wystarczy :)

                2) Kiedy używasz czasownika modalnego 'can', następny czasownik musi być w czasie teraźniejszym prostym. (Chodzi mi o to, że bez końcówki -ing).

                infallible - nieomylny

I'll try my best - zrobię co w mojej mocy

                anyway - w każdym razie

I am in the UK (Scotland) right and I know what you mean - it is muuuuch easier to practice when you're abroad... Where exactly do your family live in the UK?

Have you ever thought about studying in the UK?

Anyway, if you would like to move to UK, your future studies will be great. They always seek for people with qualifications like yours.

Btw, I've seen pictures of your Little Girl. She's sooo beautiful!

I've seen some nurseries and schools in Scotland. The are amazingly equipped! What's more, teachers are treated quite differently from Poland. They are appreciated, not treated like they were not doing anything while having 2 months holidays

I guess I will also make many mistakes here especially now when my English lessons at the uni seem to be worse than in the high school -.- grammar, grammar, grammar and nothing else, it doesn't matter if you can't read or speak properly. I'm still writing in English on a couple of forums but it's not that much - they are mostly band forums and my two favourite bands took a break from recording and having gigs, so we don't have so many news to write about. Some messages with foreigners on the websites such as last.fm are not enough either... so it's nice we can talk a bit even about some random, everyday things and we have you here Lena :D And I agree with you - LusiaKlusia's baby girl is just adorable!

Widziałam kilka przedszkoli i szkół w Szkocji.
